Hot Wheels Wiki says - The Renault Espace F1 is a show car manufactured by Matra for Renault. Designed by Thierry Métroz, the Espace F1 celebrated ten years of the Espace and Renault's successful involvement in Formula One. Despite it resembling a Espace with substantial bodywork changes the Espace F1 shared more in common with that of a Formula One car. It was powered by a 789 horsepower 3.5L Renault RS5 V10 from the Williams FW15C mated to a 6-speed sequential semi-automatic shifted using buttons on the steering wheel, in addition to being fitted with carbon ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot SX slick tires; it has a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph). Two were produced, one functional show car and another a static model; the functional show car is located at the Matra Museum in France while the static model is kept by Renault at their Flins factory.

This casting is specifically based on the static model as evidenced by its wheels and front bumper. There are variations of the casting with and without a handle on the rear of the trunk.
