Hot Wheels Wiki says - For the 40th Anniversary, Hot Wheels produced a line of 20 vehicles from the '100%' line and packaged them in an individual acrylic case. Nine 2-Car Sets were also produced.

This was the last year of any releases of 100% Hot Wheels models; all tools were said to have been destroyed afterwards.

Already a premier muscle car, the GTO enhanced its status as well as its popularity in 1966. Its muscular appearance continued to appeal, and a beefed up 400 cubic-inch, tri-power engine added a new chapter to the GTO legend. On the street or strip, the GTO continued to flex its muscle.

The '52 Chevy is a Hot Wheels casting which debuted in the collector-aimed (100% Hot Wheels) Showcase Hot Wheels: Kool & Kustom Series. It features an opening hood which reveals a detailed engine. It was used three times before being discontinued.
